Learn About Invasive Lionfish
The Lionfish invasion in the Northwestern Atlantic and the Caribbean was deemed in the proceedings of the 61st Gulf and Caribbean Fisheries Institute as representing one of the most rapid finfish invasions in history.
With this course, you develop and increase your knowledge of invasive Lionfish. You learn you to organize and safely conduct no-decompression dives to locate and humanely capture invasive Lionfish in depths up to 30 metres/100 feet. You also improve your diving skills and have additional supervised experience.

This course is open to divers who are:
- At least 15 years old
- Certified as a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent
- Able to either answer NO to all questions on the standard Medical History Form or secure a physician’s approval prior to the start of class

This course consists of:
- Self study
- One classroom session
- Two open water training dives

Self study takes place at the comfort of your home. Classroom session takes place right here at Squalo Divers. Optional open water dives take place at one of more than 50 dive sites that we have to offer.
Invasive LionFish Tracker Specialty classes start at any time. Classroom session is done during regular store hours. Open water training dives are done any day of the week. All activities take place by appointment only.
